To help overcome this challenge, we offer five patient courtesy vans that provide free transportation services to and from a variety of medical appointments. This service is designed to make it easier for patients in our service area to access the care they need, whether they are visiting one of our satellite clinics, seeing a provider who is a member of our active medical staff, or attending an appointment at one of our specialty clinics.

Free Non-Emergency Transportation for Medical Appointments

Our patient courtesy vans are available to transport patients to and from medical appointments within the Cameron Regional Medical Center network. This includes visits to our satellite clinics, doctor’s offices (as long as the provider is part of Cameron Regional Medical Center’s active medical staff), and a range of specialty clinics. We recognize the importance of keeping your medical appointments and want to ensure that lack of transportation is not a reason for missed care.

Whether you're in need of a routine check-up, a follow-up visit, or a specialty consultation, our patient vans can help you get there safely and comfortably. Our courteous drivers are trained to assist with getting you to and from your appointment with ease. We are here to support your health needs by offering this vital service at no cost to you.

Transportation Eligibility

The only requirement for using the patient courtesy van service is that you must have no other access to transportation. This means that if you have no other means of getting to your appointment—whether that be through personal transportation, a family member, a friend, or other public transportation options—you are eligible for the service.

To ensure fairness and accommodate as many patients as possible, we ask that you utilize the service only when necessary and in situations where transportation would otherwise be a barrier to your medical care. We are committed to helping patients who truly need the service and ensuring that everyone in our community has access to the healthcare they deserve.

Transportation Days

Our patient courtesy van service operates 5 1/2 days per week to accommodate appointments. Whether you have a morning or afternoon appointment, our vans are available to get you there and back within our operating hours.

For added convenience, we ask that you schedule your transportation needs in advance, so that we can ensure a timely and efficient ride to your appointment. While we strive to accommodate as many patients as possible, we recommend giving us a call ahead of time to reserve your spot.

How to Non-Emergency Medical Transportation

Scheduling a ride with our patient courtesy vans is easy. Simply contact our transportation coordinator to arrange your transportation. Please schedule your ride early, with a minimum notice of 24 to 48 hours required depending on the distance When scheduling, please provide the following information:

Your name and contact information
The date and time of your medical appointment
The location of the appointment (whether it's at a satellite clinic, a doctor's office, or a specialty clinic)
Any special assistance or accommodations you may need

Our team will work with you to coordinate a pickup time that ensures you arrive at your appointment on time and with minimal stress.
