Visitors Information & General Guidelines

At Cameron Regional Medical Center, we welcome visitors as the support from family and friends plays a crucial role in the healing process, helping to alleviate patient anxiety and stress.
Please review the unit specific information below.

Please read the Cameron Regional Medical Center general guidelines and visitors information below.

  • Visiting Hours: 7am – 8:30pm


  • Children under 13 must be accompanied by an adult who is not the patient.


  • Visitors may be asked to temporarily step out of the room while staff provide care.


  • The number of visitors and visitation hours may vary by unit.


  • Disruptive behavior or actions that interfere with patient care may lead to visitors being asked to leave.


  • Please do not visit if, in the past 10 days, you have been diagnosed with COVID-19, or experienced symptoms.


  • Mask

    - Masks are recommended for all patients and visitors with symptoms of illness.

     

    - Masking requirements are subject to local health department guidelines and current county rates of COVID-19 infection.

  • Smoking Policy

    - Tobacco use including cigarettes and e-cigarettes, are allowed in specific designated smoking areas located around the hospital campus. 


    - The use of any marijuana products is prohibited in all buildings, parking garages, and surrounding grounds of the CRMC campus. 


  • Infection Prevention

    We are dedicated to maintaining a clean and safe environment for all our patients. Proper hand hygiene plays a key role in preventing infections. Our healthcare staff routinely clean their hands using alcohol-based sanitizers or wash with soap and water to ensure the highest standards of care.


    - Visitors are encouraged to wash their hands before and after visiting


    - Visitors should follow all hospital guidelines for visiting. In some circumstances, to protect patients and others from infectious diseases isolation precautions are necessary. 


    - If a visitor has been exposed to illness they should avoid visiting. 


  • Cell Phones

    Cell phones are permitted in most areas. Please be respectful of patients and other visitors by keeping your devices on silent. 

  • Flowers and/or Gifts

    Our volunteers help to deliver flowers and/or gifts to patients while they are in the hospital.

Outreach Clinics & Offices

  • Each patient can have two visitors


Emergency Room

  • Each patient can have two visitors; visitors may exit and re-enter


Obstetrics & Nursery

  • Visitors, excluding siblings, must be at least 14 years years old
  • Siblings of any age are welcome during designated hours, ifthey are free of any symptoms of illness. Siblings must be accompanied by an adult and can not stay overnight.
  • Only one designated person is allowed to stay over night.
  • No persons are allowed into the nursery besides mother and support person*
  • The designated support person chosen must be the same person for the entire stay. Designated support is an individual selected by the mother including but not limited to a spouse, adult child, parent, close relative, friend, domestic partner.


Inpatient Rehab - Visiting Hours:

  • Mon  – Fri  3pm-7pm
  • Sat  – 1pm-7pm
  • Sun – 7am-7pm


Surgery & Procedures

  • Each patient can have two visitors

  • Visitors will be instructed to wait in the waiting room pre and post-surgery/procedure.
