Inpatient Rehabilitation

Cameron Medical Center Inpatient Services

Cameron Regional Medical Center offers a wide range of inpatient services.

Our goal is to do what’s best for our patient at all times.

Inpatient Rehabilitation

The Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit at Cameron Regional Medical Center is a medically-supervised program of comprehensive services that evaluates, treats, trains, and educates adults who have experienced such adversities as stroke, hip or knee replacement, amputation, MS, long-term hospitalizations, or multiple-trauma accidents. Offering a multidisciplinary approach to intensive therapy, the Cameron Regional Medical Center Physical Rehab Unit provides a homelike atmosphere with a fully-equipped kitchen, as well as other training facilities. CRMC’s Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit is a self-contained unit and provides measurable results-oriented services.

This Medicare-certified, six-bed unit utilizes a group of specially-trained staff members from Physical, Occupational, Respiratory, and Speech/Language Therapies, as well as experienced Nursing personnel. A Registered Dietician, Social Worker, Case Manager, Chaplain, and Activity Therapist complete the team. Candidates for Inpatient Rehabilitation services must be medically stable and possess the potential for improvement. Along with Medicare patients, we also accept commercial insurance and Medicaid. As always, patients must meet specific criteria for admittance.

Under the direction of the patient’s physician and any involved specialists, the treatment/care plan is customized to fit individual medical needs and assist in the patient’s prompt return to the normal activities of daily living. We strive to assist our patients in gaining maximum independence and returning to productive lives following an illness or injury. Patients in this unit receive a minimum of three hours of therapy per day and one-on-one attention.

Our professionals will work closely with patients and their families throughout the recovery process. During rehabilitation, the family can play a very influential support role in achieving a positive outcome; consequently, we place an emphasis on their involvement. We will assist family members in understanding their roles so that recovery can be full, continuous, and lasting.

A separate entrance is available at the southeast corner of the Medical Center for the convenience of families and friends visiting their loved ones. Because of our regimented daily therapies, we encourage the following visiting hours for Inpatient

Rehabilitation patients:

Monday – Saturday: 4:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.
Sunday: 10:30 a.m. – 8:30 p.m.
